well it started out pretty
rushed back home it was about 3!! luckily kor's friend father driving him to airport so offering us the ride..otherwise we'l be late!! haha
and den still while rushing i had to call and change my appt date!! T.T
day 0 (before camp)
reached the budget terminal..my first time there!

first person i saw was yanyu!!*actually is my brother and sida,but they came with me so not counted!!lol* haha and she was with a pink winx backpack!lol ..den i saw her mother who was really young and pretty!! wow den me and kor were really hungry cos we both skipped lunch...so wana get FOOD !!

actually we wanted full meal but ah-foo (aka jon foo, who is shiwei's brother!really amazing they dun look alike AT ALL) say we shld get something light first den eat a full meal just before checking in ,which we apparently didnt have the time to in the end!lol so we went to get a carbonara puff....

it was pretty good.yea and quite filling so didnt really matter when we had no more time to eat..

no more phototaking after this..wasn' t allowed. den wow!!i got the window seat on the plane!cool and was right in front of kor..beside me was shanrui,previously from tjc now helping shijie to lead a transfer group in nus.haha i guess she was really tired and slept almost the whole trip but still i appreciate her company during the ride =) window seats are really so cool!there's so much to see!a pity can't take pictures!argh! haha den when reaching, we got a bird's eye view of thailand's legendary traffic congestion!haha

leaving the airport, we were greeted by a row of taxi drivers trying to "chiao zha" the tourists !!haha in the end we found a taxi booth where drivers can only charge by metre...but den in the end our cab fare was still over-priced cos the driver didnt know the way!! and went by the long route..haha put down our luggage at rompo mansion and marched off to a nearby mall in search of natural body energisers(FOOD)lol...found this jap restaurant that looks like yoshinoya but with so much more choices...

right after eating my new shepherd katarina displayed her choleric character and pulled me along to rush off and explore the mall!lol but i shld say it was really 'fruitful' cos we discovered the awesome mcflurry flavours they had! there were strawberry ,nutty and chocolate!!my fav is the strawberry!!haha
kat ordered nutty and the person was adding peanut butter!!lol and shepherd thought was some cheapo cover-up for lack of stock!!but it tasted good! and they added cornflakes too!!and it was really nice with the crunch! thought the choc one wasn't good cos it just choc chips nothing special...

after that was EIGHT full hours of bus ride to khon kaen!!set out at 11.30 slept the whole way and didnt even wake up at the stops!! and in the end had a really bad shoulder ache for a few days!!
Day 1
Charoen Thani Princess!!
arrive at hotel around 8am..first thing i look out for in a hotel....toilet! lol
forced my roommates to check it out with me!!lol
our hotel 'scenery'!!haha could only see haggard buildings!
den the beds!! cos we'l need them in just a millisecond!!
...slept until 11.30 and went for brunch at noodle shop opposite hotel..
while going down...
cos the lift was too slow..and we got bored..haha
they sell wanton noodle!!their soup was really good!!after that went 7-eleven found this
fruit juice tea at 10 baht only and tastes really good..a weird thing is the same drink bottled at 500 ml is 20 baht and the 10 baht one is 350 ml!!?haha bought some snacks to store too..
found this pocky-like snack and its in a superb strawberry flavour!!

(at khon kaen university convention centre)camp started!!worship was really good even though most of them in thai ,still can feel the presence of God!!amen!i was really impressed cos i really thought praise and worship would be a difficult time due to language before camo started :D after that had teaching, and it was two teachings at one go w/o break...but we took break on own accord cos really need the toilet!!haha teaching by pastor nimit was good cos he really could put things in all rounded way and explain the aspects of what we should do and why this is the only right thing to do..thus it was really convincing and draws us to the point that whether we are doing enough to please God..
programme ended late and we got back hotel at 11.15 but still went out for supper!! we went to this night market a few streets away from the hotel...to my utmost horror,the streets are roamed by thousands of cockroaches!!yew!and we compromise the cockroahes with screams and shouts!lol umms i shan't go further into the unglam moments when xiao wei meets xiao qiang!!LOL
tried tom yum soup at night market!!it was really good!!yummy!
while the rest had fried rice,which was quite good also :)
Day 2

it was really awesome!!there's really a lot of choices and can even order from them noodles and omelette and lots more and they'l make it specially for u!...and i just wana try them all!!haha but i really had to control!haha so convinced myself to try the other stuff in the following day!
here's what i took..there's fried rice, hot dog, some veggie,waffle,you tiao and raisin croissant!! pls dun tell me its alot cos i'm really guilty of the amount i ate in thailand!! =(

set off to camp!!got to see that the thai people ,they gather together all the age groups to praise and worship God and they really focus on God and not the people around them and really unashamed to praise God despite their age..thus it came to me that even when one day every1 around me stops jumping stops clapping,i'l still be doing it cos i'm not doing for them to see ;not doing bcos others are doing but bcos God deserves my praise!! :))
wondering wads best of the year all about??its a prize giving ceremony ,where the contributions of various leaders were shared and recognised...was pretty boring but i think the leaders really deserved such honour and respect so we stayed even though its not compulsory :) den we saw this 76-year old lady receiving a prize!really encouraging to see some1 serve God at such age!!
after that there's free time !yays jon tay wanted to meet his people so the rest of us went back to hotel!!kat wanted to do massage ,shanrui wana sleep and yanyu wana shop and run in the gym and i followed yanyu..
off we went on a lorry!lol once in a lifetime experience!!woohoo

we went to shop first and i bought a hello kitty purse and adidas bag which is S$30!!haha yanyu bought a similar but smaller version of the bag...we forgot the time and had no time to run anymore!!haha in the end it was kat who went running cos she couldn't find suitable massage..lol
went back using there public bus..only 8 baht per pax :)
back at camp and found out that the guys saw this girl lying at the streets last night and wanted to help her so we bought her shirt and some snacks and set off after returning to the hotel...unfortunately she wasn't at the spot anymore so we went for supper instead ..i wasn't hungry but wana try the food but no one wana share so i just ate T.T its really so unhealthy, i never take supper back at home and i eat everyday there!!
after that the rest wanted durian so we went buying durians..
then i had this craving for honey and milo so insisted gg to 7-11 but can't find honey!!so i had the plan to steal honey from buffet breakfast which was supposed to be used with waffles and pancakes!!lol
had my milo all guess wad?! i can't finish 250 ml of milo!!it tasted really different from milo back in singapore its more concentrated a lot more milky and sweet!!thats why its so filling and i can't finish!!
ooh and the guys sent us back to hotel and ben tay saw this and started this Charoen Thani = 超人打你!!LOL
Day 3
haha cos ytd i was in a dilemma of which food to try so today i was prepared! combed the place ytd so had knowledge of the food available and plan out which food to try out the following days!!haha
today is salad, pancake and omelette day!!
had this craving for honey since the day before..so i stole honey which was meant for the pancakes to make my own honey drink!! :D
found this nice food during lunch time!!
waffle hotdog!its the 'hot ice-cream ' sold at imm that kor and i loved !!haha and guess wad?its only 7baht per stick thats like 30cents!!haha
missions night..preaching was really good inflated us with knowledge and understanding of mission trips..and how much we can make a difference by just dedicating a year of my life in missions..so yup got a lot of calling from God that night and it really give me a lot of encouragement and draw my attention to some of my blind spots. event though i responded and asked God for more directions and promised to dedicate my career or my business to God for it to be used to honour God, i still had some doubts and needed further clarifications....
after that went telling my shepherd and room-mates about it....shepherd asked for meeting for supper so went to her room and order room service
fried rice that shepherd ordered..
i ordered fried noodle in flour sauce which turned out to be hor fun!!haha thought the sauce was nice but the noodle was too sticky...

talk about what we learnt from camp so far and she asked to know me more!haha and as usual i dun really like this kind of deliberate things but i guess she wanted a more productive way to know me more.. yupp so i tried my best to open up and she spoke about herself too..so the session was q fulfilling i guess...lol
Day 4
haha every morning shanrui and i would be looking forward to the buffet breakfast!!haha
at camp, i was really amazed by how God answered my doubts last night everything that came to my mind that i know might stop me from gg all out for God were answers clearly in the teaching!!and i'm all satisfied with the answers given thus i was all refreshed and ready to serve with my all!! haha and probably cos of this i was really high the whole day!!i volunteered to join in the hope games!! had this free time before we had to set out..so went food hunting!!haha and this day had extra stalls which means extra food!haha
i found my favourite cup corn!!haha but they added sugar and condensed milk to it so it ended up to be too sweet!!haha
found these pretty pastries which costs three for 20 baht but i only got to eat one cos i brought them to hope games and they got lost! =(
the bus brought us to this place that was totally the wilderness and we all thought that we gonna play there! haha but we were heading to a stadium instead..haha with sand tracks!
and on the way we even saw this huge ant's nest..

the weather wasn't really good and sand were blown up when the wind blew and we had to look away otherwise sand'd go into our eyes..but still every1 were still enthusiastic!! i joined the three-legged race with shepherd!!we tried practicing before the race but they were so unsuccessful we just can't run tgr!!all we both tot to leave it to God! worse still, it started to rain heavily right before our race !!but we persisted and went on the race !!and i was really surprised that we were running with ease!!and we completed our part in no time!!even though in the end our group wasn't first ,i'l always rmb this very special experience i had with my shepherd!!initially kat wanted to keep the cloth used to tie our legs as shepherd-sheep memorial item!!haha but it was too dirty !!haha anyways this experience'l definitely stay deep in my memories =)
after getting back jon tay wanted to meet us for sharing..we shared about what we learnt from camp so far and a thing that impressed us at the camp.. it thought it had been really useful and got me really clear of putting what i learnt into action and to not easily forget them...
it was our last night at charoen thani so we all met up in one room for room service !(supper again!!)lol but this time slightly better at least i share it with shanrui!!haha

Day 5(last day)
the final teaching...i thought it really met the motive of pushing us on to building a church that really emphasizes loyalty..it also covered that it may be difficult but nothing is too difficult for God 's people for we have God's might!!yea!really got encouragement from it!! at the end the pastor show us a video of how God gives us salvation and it really brought me back to the time i accepted Christ for the first time and i wanted to give the very best i have to Him!!and now i'm recording all these down to rmb what i've learnt and continue having this strong feeling to serve !!yea and that i'll b accountable with what i do in future!!
we had a session to write a 'love letter' to God at the end so i wrote these down!!and heres the mailbox to God :))

set off back to bangkok!!gosh another 8hrs ride!!
arrive at avana hotel at 11.30pm!!had supper again =(( had cup noodles with my room mates!!
think i'm really blessed to have them as room mates they made my trip fruitful and keep me accountable..sometimes when i get distracted from God they'l b able to identify it to me !so i'm really grateful :) Shanrui really has this admirable spirit of coming to thailand only for the sake of meeting God to the extend that she's not even interested in food!!well but food is a blessing from God and we need them for energy :)
Day 6(1st day after camp)
checked out early cos there were some problem in the rooms...buffet breakfast in avana...
they had these cute desserts :)
not bad but charoen thani still the best!!
check in to patumwan house, this service apartment and we stayed in a suite!!

went for shopping at platinum, this wholesale centre that really sells things cheaply whenever u get 3 items and above!!its really must go place in bangkok! bought lots of stuff!!for people and myself! we ate A&W which is extinct in singapore alr!haha not really hungry so shared with shanrui..

Day 7 (2nd day after camp/last day)

haha staying in patumwan can survive on room service!!haha den went shopping at mbk and a street near mbk which is pretty similar to our bugis street..
bought stuff again...shanrui and i bought a few bottles of the fruit tea to bring back to sg for friends..but she forgot can't hand carry water so i had to drink it up for her in the end!haha
saw donut shop (mister donut) and can't help but went in to buy!!the donuts there are cheap most are 15 baht which is 70cents!! and i tried this one with tuna,they were really good :))
let shanrui try and she can't stand it but bought a box herself too!!LOL
meet up and set off to airport... we were caught in a really bad congestion and were really behind time but fortunately still in time for flight!haha and i was allocated this seat very far away from the rest...but just thought it as a chance to grow my independence lol!but anyway slept the whole ride! woohoo and arrive at sg around 11.30... luckily zel's dad drove me and yvonne to bukit timah and we cab back home together cos the driver told us if we cab from airport it'l b 50 bucks!!
yups end of trip!!yays!i'm gonna put wad i learnt into action! and also share to my group about them and hope they'l be encouraged by me and i pray to God for wisdom as i share so that i'l be convincing and tactful such that i'l make a difference!! :))
